FAQ

How many pictures will we receive?

This depends on the session type and what you book! Refer to the investment page!

What’s the best time to plan a session?

The absolute best time to plan a session is about an hour before sunset. The lighting is not as harsh and bright and leaves us with more options for locations. I avoid planning sessions during harsh lighting.
I know this can be difficult for kiddos, but try to plan for a late nap the day of the session!

Do you do posed newborn sessions?

I do not do posed newborn sessions. I will capture your newborn with you as a family. If you would like to swaddle your newborn you can, but otherwise I will just guide you and capture the new love between you and your brand new bundle! This will most likely include you holding the baby for the majority of the session. I am happy to come to your home for these sessions as long as there is a place with adequate natural lighting!

How should we dress for our family session?

We can discuss your hopes and I can help guide you in a direction for planning your session! A few basic tips to follow....
1. Avoid all matching outfits
2. Avoid very bright outfits & colors. These take away from the people!
2. Choose a color scheme to follow.
3. You'll most likely be safe with solids and having one person with a pop of detail - think a pattern or floral print, etc. depending on the number of people.

We don’t feel very confident in front of the camera, is that ok?

Yes! I will guide you throughout the session. My style is to capture your family in the true and raw moments. I try to avoid extremely posed photos. I prefer the candid photos that tell your story! Just be yourself and let me capture your true self!
